Jungle Boat Tour
The adventure for today was a Jungle Boat tour. It took us down the river where we saw a few animals - there was an Iguana and also COWS and CATFISH! Yeah, seriously.... didn't know those were in the jungle of Guam!! We could have seen those in Texas! :) It was a fun trip, though - they dropped us off at an old Chamorro Village where they did a demonstration of weaving all kinds of things out of coconut leaves. The weather was gorgeous and it was a great day to be in Guam!!

How can this be???
Our sweet little Allie lost not only her first tooth, but her first TWO teeth tonight!!! She is beyond excited as she has seen Adysen go through the tooth-losing stage and loves to try to keep up! Mom and Dad are happy for her, but are also wondering how she got to this stage so fast? She was supposed to stay a baby for just a little (or even a LOT) longer!! :) These kinds of milestones are so bittersweet with the "last" child. Anyway, here she is and you can see that she is VERY proud of this moment!! We'll be taking donations for the tooth fairy fund - she is very busy around here lately!! :)

Life through the eyes of a first grader....
Adysen's class has been working on writing a story. They are learning that a story has to have a beginning, middle and end. Here is Adysen's story as quoted by her teacher in the weekly newsletter:
My family likes to go on a date. They like to eat. They like to kiss. They hug each other. They are in love. –Adysen
How cute is that??? :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Well, we had a Thanksgiving unlike any other. First, I will say that it is VERY hard being away from our family this time of year!!! Holidays are just not the same. We decided since our Thanksgiving was going to be different anyway, we'd make it completely diffferent! We did NO cooking.... instead we spent 2 nights at a hotel/resort called the Pacific Island Club and it was SO much fun! We ate lunch on the way there at a Chinese Resturaunt - we have never used chopsticks for Thanksgiving lunch before, but the food was really good! We did have some traditional food for dinner at the hotel buffet. There was a great breakfast buffet the next morning and also an amazing dinner show that we enjoyed on Friday night. We had some shushi and other traditional Japanese food before we left on Saturday. Here are some pictures of the fun.
